Conduit Development is the vision of Simon Gonzales, an industry veteran with more than 30 years of construction experience, and Denise C. Gonzales, a seasoned project manager and marketing professional. To ensure that every project moves on-time, on-schedule and on-budget, we employ a talented full-time administrative and labor team based out of our Long Beach corporate office.
Denise C. Gonzales
Chief Executive Officer
As CEO, Denise brings a broad range of creative talents, goal-driven vision, and proven marketing management expertise to Conduit Development. A strategic thinker and innovator with a strong eye for design, Denise launched her professional career as an executive with a Fortune 500 company. Her tenure was marked by several key achievements, including serving an executive leadership position as Director of Quality in the U.S./Pacific Region for UPS. Prior to founding Conduit Development, Denise helped shape the way businesses approached their marketing and public relations through the creation of Conduit International, a strategic marketing agency based in Long Beach, California. With her grandfather, John G. Franco, serving as one of the largest contractors for schools, military bases, housing tracts and commercial buildings throughout Ventura County for more than two decades, Denise is proud to return to her roots in the development and construction field. Today, she is able to combine traditional business acumen and leadership skills with her family’s multigenerational commitment to building homes and businesses to last for years to come.

Simon M. Gonzales, Jr.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Simon grew up with an innate talent for construction. After being mentored for several years by seasoned construction professionals, Simon worked his way up the ranks at Zember Construction, where he managed a wide range of commercial and residential projects. In 1983, he continued his passion for development as an independent contractor focusing on residential and commercial construction. Highlights of Simon’s successful career include building commercial grocery chains, medical offices and other commercial buildings from the ground-up, as well as numerous custom homes and high-end residential additions. In 2003, Simon’s knowledge and expertise in building united with the increasing popularity of cementitious coatings and epoxies, and he was recruited as Vice President of a premier floor coatings manufacturer. A leader in the field, Simon helped direct the company to increasing success before returning to his passion for independent contracting--this time with his partner and wife-to-be, marketing entrepreneur Denise Chavez.

John Bell
Project Manager
A seasoned construction and development professional with more than 25 years of industry experience, John is proud to serve as Project Manager for Conduit Development. His extensive experience includes tenures as a building inspector manager, plan checker and building permit technician for the City of Bakersfield, leadership positions within the general construction and development industry, and working as an independent contractor and draftsman. John handles many day-to-day construction and development operations at Conduit, taking a can-do, hands-on approach to ensure that client expectations are consistently met and exceeded.

Dave Nicolosi
Director of Business Development
As a third generation master builder born in Vineland, NJ, Dave comes to Conduit with 25 continuous years in commercial and residential construction with broad based technical knowledge and hands-on proven ability to complete complex projects on schedule at or below budget, while maintaining strong relations with clients & vendors. Dave is a skilled communicator and organized manager; assuring exceptional productivity and high quality standards are met for all clients. Dave is versed in conceptual and hard cost estimating, bid preparation, takeoffs, utilizing construction costs, division codes and full AIA documentation. As a Construction Management Graduate from Belford University, TX and a Nationally Certified Home Inspector, Dave plays as hard as he works with a 2nd Degree Martial Arts Black Belt and as a proficient golfer.

Shannon McElfresh
Project Administrator
A proven accounting and project management professional with an eye for detail and passion for learning new industries, Shannon joins Conduit Development as Project Administrator. In this capacity, she focuses extensively on the daily internal business processes to ensure projects stay on time and on budget. An avid rugby player, Shannon devotes much of her free time to playing on the Belmont Shore Women’s Rugby Club team. She is a graduate of California State University at Monterey Bay in Seaside, California.

Randy Daniels
Arxx Regional Manager, Western United States
A seasoned concrete industry veteran, Randy brings more than 21 years experience to Arxx and Conduit, including extensive education and training skills. During the past decade, his efforts have led to environmentally friendly Insulating Concrete Form (ICF) construction technology being specified for residential and commercial buildings throughout the Western U.S. From banks and churches to schools and production housing, Randy has developed more than 2.2 million sq. ft. of ICF wall construction. A resident of Aliso Viejo, Randy has also conducted more than 120 eight-hour ICF Installer Training Seminars, and more than 3000 ICFAIA CEU presentations. He is a certified presenter for the NAHB University of Housing ICF Educational Series, is an approved trainer for the NRMCA Certified Concrete Sales Professional Modules II and IV, and is past chair of the CALCIMA ICF Walls Education Committee.
David Horobin
Consultant, Sustainable Green Building Design
With a British education in architecture, and unique qualifications and experience within the green building industry throughout the United States, David takes a leading-edge approach to the new world of sustainable architecture and design. For nearly a quarter of a century he has worked diligently to incorporate solar electricity into architectural plans, and is a founder and pioneer of the burgeoning Insulating Concrete From (ICF) movement in the U.S. Bringing a unique, green-focused dimension to the Conduit Development team, David’s approach incorporates the latest proven technologies for fire-, storm- and earthquake-resistant construction balanced with cost-effective, energy-efficient design practices. Born to a father with a passion for creating custom homes, James Glover began honing his talent for architectural design at a very early age. He completed his first set of architectural plans while still in high school. From there, he graduated from the Architectural Program at Orange Coast College, and attended the Southern California Institute of Architecture. Now a widely acclaimed Southern California residential and interior designer, James is making his mark by creating homes filled with natural beauty-the result of his unique, light and airy design style that seamlessly unites indoor/outdoor living. Today, James is taking his love of architecture and nature even further forward in the design and building of eco-friendly green homes, in particular those that incorporate insulating concrete form (ICF) construction.
