A two-story, outdoor mall with more than 15,000-square-feet of retail space, including 4,500 square feet of common walkway and a subterranean parking garage, had been leaking water for the past 10 years. Even after hiring several contractors, the owner was unable to properly stop the water intrusion that was eroding and destroying this multi-million dollar, ocean front commercial property.
Conduit Development was hired in an attempt to save this deteriorating building. Up-to-date technologies and materials were used to create tightly-sealed waterproofing systems as well as a decorative finish. The work was successful, and greatly improved the property value of the complex by preventing further water damage.
For this project, the waterproofing efforts literally saved the life of the complex. Throughout the process, Conduit spent considerable time educating the owner about the complexities involved, and the importance of doing a thorough job to avoid "patchwork" repairs and future leakage. The owner placed complete trust in Conduit, and the results paid off ten-fold.
