This 3,500-square-foot, hacienda-style estate on the hillside of San Juan Capistrano featured a 1,600-sqare-foot, roof-top deck above a 3-car garage. This deck, which was located adjacent to the kitchen, office and guest room, had been leaking for approximately eight years, causing water intrusion into the home and garage. As a result, the structural integrity of the garage beams had been compromised, as discovered through Conduit’s pre-inspection waterproofing process.
Through Conduit’s vast experience in construction as well as waterproofing, all structural repairs were made before tightly waterproofing the rooftop. The finished result even included a custom, decorative cementitious finish that aesthetically complemented the Spanish home’s hacienda-style architecture.
